The design? Purpose-built.Engineered around the job: moving material, shift after shift. Three rigid axles with permanent six-wheel drive, an optimised hydro-gas suspension system, and a sloping chassis that keeps wet and loose material where it belongs - in the body, not on the haul road.
Safe and productive transporting of loads.With a max payload of 41,000 kg and a body volume of 26.0 m³, this six-wheel drive articulated truck moves more per cycle. A 368 kW (500 HP) engine delivers 2,373 Nm of torque from just 1,300 rpm, giving strong low-end pull on gradients and up to 55 km/h travel speed through a full auto power-shift transmission with Tip-tronic. Front and rear differentials feature 100% hydraulic locking, while the automatic longitudinal differential lock maximises traction in challenging ground conditions. An adjustable hydraulic retarder holds speed on descents without touching the service brakes.
Safe workplace with a productive cab.The HA45HD's ROPS/FOPS cab features a wide view window for optimum visibility of the working environment, with a rear access cabin door, inclination indicator and electrically adjustable mirrors for safe movement around site. The swivelling, air-suspension operator seat, climate control and low noise levels make long hours in the seat genuinely comfortable. A 12" Android display brings control and safety information together in one place, including SAVM around-view, rear camera and tyre pressure monitoring.
A cost-effective powerhouse.The 12.5-litre Scania DC13 is matched to a simple driveline with one rear differential - fewer moving parts, easier and lower cost maintenance. Ground-level access to key service areas, a full open bonnet on electric actuator, oil-cooled wet disc brakes rated to 15,000 hours and Hi-mate telematics for remote diagnostics keep it earning. Automatic greasing, reversible fan and integrated maintenance information are available to cut downtime further.
